Field Trip | Big Dam Bridge

Posted on February 27, 2015 by Heather Smith | 0 comments

This amazing park is a mere 3 miles from our shop. At 4226 feet, it is the longest pedestrian bridge in North America that has never been used by trains or motor vehicles. And by rising 90 feet over the Arkansas River it offers spectacular views of the some of the 70,000 public acres it assists in connecting.

Best of all, it's free! Take a picnic, grab a frisbee, and pack your sunglasses to enjoy this local treasure.

Audubon Guide to Birds

National Audubon's Field Guide to Birds and the Bird Caller will come in handy among the 380 documented types of birds in Arkansas.
