On the Field: Game Day Snacks
Alright, folks! It's almost time for football, beer, meat, and Callin' Those Hogs! Before you hit the Pig Trail, head down to War Memorial Stadium, or drag the flat screen to the back deck, make sure you're completely clad in Hog gear and don't forget your fundamentals of fun. Our top picks? A cooler for your cold ones, folding chairs, a football to toss around, and of course, game day food. Our favorite? Buffalo Chicken Dip from our friend Ginny Porter, the Martha Stewart of Tailgating.
Buffalo Chicken Dip
- 2 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained
- 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup Ranch dressing
- 1 cup Frank's Red Hot Sauce
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded jack cheese
Soften cream cheese on the stove and mix in ranch and hot sauce. Stir in chicken and cheddar until melted. Place in baking dish and cover with jack cheese. Bake at 350 for about 20 min or until cheese is bubbly. Serve with tortilla chips and celery sticks.
