The Classic Moc was first made by Red Wing in 1952. In the decades since, it’s grown into one of the most beloved lifestyle boots in the world. The Classic Moc’s beloved features live on today, as the boot is still built with the same pride and process now as it was then. Moc toe construction and the iconic Traction Tred rubber outsole lead the way, and Puritan triple stitching and a storm welt for additional water resistance..
Fit Recommendation - Many customers size down ½ to 1 full size.
I have many other Red Wing boots from the Heritage line, but never the Classic Moc Toe style. Domestic Domestic had a holiday season sale so I decided that was the time to try them. Wow- these are simply amazing for the materials, craftsmanship build, and most of all comfort. These are substantial boots built for the long haul. The Concrete Rough and Tough leather may sound stiff, but it's not and the moccasin toe design is what sets it apart for comfort. You can feel the extra room in the toe area while the sides and heel make a good pocket to hold you foot from moving around. With time the moc toe will form to fit your foot even better than they do right out of the box. I really like the full eyelet lacing design as opposed to speed hooks because that allows you to lace them up tight or with some room depending on what you're doing without worry of the laces un-hooking from a speed hook. As far as fit sizing, I would say to order your normal size to allow wear with thick socks and then swap out the included footbeds with others (such as Comfort Force from Red Wing) to adjust the fit tighter, if needed, with light socks. The stitching of these is amazing and the true hallmark of Red Wing's craftsmen in Minnesota. Lastly, the traction sole is great for both traction and comfort giving your foot full support with a non-marking rubber material. Overall I am extremely happy to have these and want to thank Domestic Domestic for shipping them out so quickly and for offering them at the awesome sale price! Get yourself a pair- you will be happy you did.
Red Wing boots are one of those buy it for life type of boots. Take care of em and condition it and it'll last lifetime. Buy half size down from your regular sneaker size and it'll fit perfectly.
I love Red Wing’s Heritage line and had been wanting a pair of mocs in Concrete Rough and Tough. These did not disappoint.
