The Mackinaw Wool Field Jacket is sewn in Seattle with trusted Mackinaw Wool, woven by Oregon’s iconic Pendleton Woolen Mills. This fabric earned legendary status for its hardiness through generations of punishing wear by loggers and sportsmen. Naturally water- and wind-resistant, it provides warmth even when drenched. Roomy cut for layering and ease of motion.
Amazing quality, warm, and still light-weight enough to throw on. Highly recommend this as a little more modular version of the Mackinaw Cruiser. Runs a bit big to give room to layer. I'm a S/M in Filson. Went with a Medium and have room for a flannel/sweater under this, and plenty of space still inside. Fewer pockets than the Cruiser, but still room to carry most of what you need.
