The name Hippopotamus means River Horse, and Hippos truly do love the water. In fact, if one looks at a map of rivers in sub-Saharan Africa, one is also looking at the range of Hippos. They spend much of their days in the water and are never far from it.

Little Fiona!

Purchased to include in Xmas card to a huge Cincinnati Zoo "Fiona" Fan. She loved it! So lifelike and she has the sweetest face. Love how the mouth opens and closes.
