The students interviewed their relatives and family members and documented how life in rural Appalachia had changed over time. Covering topics as diverse as wagon wheel making, hog dressing, and faith healing the Foxfire series stands as an outstanding record of the traditions, skills, and folklore of rural America. This set in its entirety is an important collection of American experiences and wisdom. 

This set includes the following 12 books, the first publised in 1972.
